This was an extra-special Sunday at Castle Street Church Tredegar as we Dedicated Baby Elon Thorpe!
It is such a time of celebration when Dedicating a Child to The LORD, giving Thanks for the Gift of his life and promising to raise this precious one in the light and Truth of The Gospel. Both parents and the Chapel themselves enter into this agreement, swearing before The LORD that we will raise this child to love and serve Him alone ❤️🙌🙏
Richard McDonald visited us today to Dedicate Elon alongside our Deacon Paul Williams, lead us in Worship and Preached to us a strong Gospel message from John 1. Here’s the texts used this morning:
DEUTERONOMY 6:4-9 ‘“Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God, the Lord is one! You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your strength. “And these words which I command you today shall be in your heart. You shall teach them diligently to your children, and shall talk of them when you sit in your house, when you walk by the way, when you lie down, and when you rise up. You shall bind them as a sign on your hand, and they shall be as frontlets between your eyes. You shall write them on the doorposts of your house and on your gates.”‘
JOHN 1:43-51 ‘The following day Jesus wanted to go to Galilee, and He found Philip and said to him, “Follow Me.” Now Philip was from Bethsaida, the city of Andrew and Peter. Philip found Nathanael and said to him, “We have found Him of whom Moses in the law, and also the prophets, wrote—Jesus of Nazareth, the son of Joseph.” And Nathanael said to him, “Can anything good come out of Nazareth?” Philip said to him, “Come and see.” Jesus saw Nathanael coming toward Him, and said of him, “Behold, an Israelite indeed, in whom is no deceit!” Nathanael said to Him, “How do You know me?” Jesus answered and said to him, “Before Philip called you, when you were under the fig tree, I saw you.” Nathanael answered and said to Him, “Rabbi, You are the Son of God! You are the King of Israel!” Jesus answered and said to him, “Because I said to you, ‘I saw you under the fig tree,’ do you believe? You will see greater things than these.” And He said to him, “Most assuredly, I say to you, hereafter you shall see heaven open, and the angels of God ascending and descending upon the Son of Man.”’
May God Bless you, Provide for you and Keep you in the week ahead ❤️ x
