Sabbath Service – Sunday 1st September 2024

Even though technology let us down quite a lot this morning, The LORD Almighty NEVER fails🙌

We were still Blessed and highly favoured with The LORD’s presence with us and by our Dear Brother in Christ, Steve Foley who led us in prayer and praise through his preaching.

Today’s Bible Reading is Luke 22: 39-54:

‘The Prayer in the Garden – 39 Coming out, He went to the Mount of Olives, as He was accustomed, and His disciples also followed Him. 40 When He came to the place, He said to them, “Pray that you may not enter into temptation.” 41 And He was withdrawn from them about a stone’s throw, and He knelt down and prayed, 42 saying, “Father, if it is Your will, take this cup away from Me; nevertheless not My will, but Yours, be done.” 43 Then an angel appeared to Him from heaven, strengthening Him. 44 And being in agony, He prayed more earnestly. Then His sweat became like great drops of blood falling down to the ground. 45 When He rose up from prayer, and had come to His disciples, He found them sleeping from sorrow. 46 Then He said to them, “Why do you sleep? Rise and pray, lest you enter into temptation.”

Betrayal and Arrest in Gethsemane – 47 And while He was still speaking, behold, a multitude; and he who was called Judas, one of the twelve, went before them and drew near to Jesus to kiss Him. 48 But Jesus said to him, “Judas, are you betraying the Son of Man with a kiss?” 49 When those around Him saw what was going to happen, they said to Him, “Lord, shall we strike with the sword?” 50 And one of them struck the servant of the high priest and cut off his right ear. 51 But Jesus answered and said, “Permit even this.” And He touched his ear and healed him. 52 Then Jesus said to the chief priests, captains of the temple, and the elders who had come to Him, “Have you come out, as against a robber, with swords and clubs? 53 When I was with you daily in the temple, you did not try to seize Me. But this is your hour, and the power of darkness.”

Peter Denies Jesus, and Weeps Bitterly – 54 Having arrested Him, they led Him and brought Him into the high priest’s house. But Peter followed at a distance.’

May God Bless you as you listen to our Service and may He Bless you and Keep you in the week ahead – no matter what tries to get you down, The LORD is with you and His Holy Spirit will not be restrained! x

Sabbath Service – Sunday 25th August 2024

We were Blessed to Welcome our Brother in Christ, Tom Keogh back to Castle Street Church Tredegar this morning where he Preached to us from God’s Word and lead us in a time of refreshing in The Spirit 😊

Today’s Bible Reading is John 15:1-17

“I am the true vine, and My Father is the vinedresser. 2 Every branch in Me that does not bear fruit He takes away; and every branch that bears fruit He prunes, that it may bear more fruit. 3 You are already clean because of the word which I have spoken to you. 4 Abide in Me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, unless it abides in the vine, neither can you, unless you abide in Me. 5 “I am the vine, you are the branches. He who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit; for without Me you can do nothing. 6 If anyone does not abide in Me, he is cast out as a branch and is withered; and they gather them and throw them into the fire, and they are burned. 7 If you abide in Me, and My words abide in you, you[b] will ask what you desire, and it shall be done for you. 8 By this My Father is glorified, that you bear much fruit; so you will be My disciples. Love and Joy Perfected 9 “As the Father loved Me, I also have loved you; abide in My love. 10 If you keep My commandments, you will abide in My love, just as I have kept My Father’s commandments and abide in His love. 11 “These things I have spoken to you, that My joy may remain in you, and that your joy may be full. 12 This is My commandment, that you love one another as I have loved you. 13 Greater love has no one than this, than to lay down one’s life for his friends. 14 You are My friends if you do whatever I command you. 15 No longer do I call you servants, for a servant does not know what his master is doing; but I have called you friends, for all things that I heard from My Father I have made known to you. 16 You did not choose Me, but I chose you and appointed you that you should go and bear fruit, and that your fruit should remain, that whatever you ask the Father in My name He may give you. 17 These things I command you, that you love one another.’

May God Bless you as you listen to our Service and may He Bless you and Keep you in the week ahead x

Sabbath Service – Sunday 11th August 2024

This Sunday we were Blessed to receive encouragement and The Word from our Brother, Wayne Phelps – a Deacon of Christchurch, Crickhowell (one of our AECW partnered Chapels). Wayne is a self-professed “quiet man, not one to be out front” but his sincere Preaching reminds us of the steadfast ‘still, small voice’ of God in 1 Kings 19 ❤️

Today’s Sermon is on Hebrews 1:1-14, with verses 1-4:

‘God, who at various times and in various ways spoke in time past to the fathers by the prophets, has in these last days spoken to us by His Son, whom He has appointed heir of all things, through whom also He made the worlds; who being the brightness of His glory and the express image of His person, and upholding all things by the word of His power, when He had by Himself purged our sins, sat down at the right hand of the Majesty on high, having become so much better than the angels, as He has by inheritance obtained a more excellent name than they.’

Praying The LORD Blesses and Keep you in the week ahead 🙏

Happy Sunday!

Love,

Sabbath Service – Sunday 4th August 2024

We were Blessed by a Mighty Word of God from our Brother Rob James who Preached to us this morning! We pray that it equally Blesses and encourages you today 🙌

Today’s Bible Text is: Psalm 66:13-20 (KJV Preached)

’13 I will go into Your house with burnt offerings; I will pay You my vows, 14 Which my lips have uttered And my mouth has spoken when I was in trouble. 15 I will offer You burnt sacrifices of fat animals, With the sweet aroma of rams; I will offer bulls with goats. Selah 16 Come and hear, all you who fear God, And I will declare what He has done for my soul. 17 I cried to Him with my mouth, And He was extolled with my tongue. 18 If I regard iniquity in my heart, The Lord will not hear. 19 But certainly God has heard me; He has attended to the voice of my prayer. 20 Blessed be God, Who has not turned away my prayer, Nor His mercy from me!’

Praying your week ahead is Blessed and that you draw Near to The LORD who upholds us by the power of His Mighty Arm and His Word ❤️

Sabbath Service – Sunday 28th July 2024

This Sunday we were Blessed to be led in Prayerful Praise and Study by Steve Foley, our former Pastor and a good friend of Castle Street Church. We were also glad to extend the Right Hand of Fellowship to our Sister, Michaela as she returns to Membership at Castle Street Church today!

Our Reading today was 1 John 1 (NKJV) ‘1 That which was from the beginning, which we have heard, which we have seen with our eyes, which we have looked upon, and our hands have handled, concerning the Word of life— 2 the life was manifested, and we have seen, and bear witness, and declare to you that eternal life which was with the Father and was manifested to us— 3 that which we have seen and heard we declare to you, that you also may have fellowship with us; and truly our fellowship is with the Father and with His Son Jesus Christ. 4 And these things we write to you that your joy may be full. 5 This is the message which we have heard from Him and declare to you, that God is light and in Him is no darkness at all. 6 If we say that we have fellowship with Him, and walk in darkness, we lie and do not practice the truth. 7 But if we walk in the light as He is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus Christ His Son cleanses us from all sin. 8 If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. 9 If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. 10 If we say that we have not sinned, we make Him a liar, and His word is not in us.’

Praying you enjoy listening to our Service today and that The LORD who is Faithful in all things, would Bless and Keep you closely in the week ahead ❤️

Sabbath Service – Sunday 21st July 2024

This Sunday we were Blessed to have Darran Dowey of Ebenezer Evangelical Church, Cwmbran Preaching The Word to us and leading us in Worship! The Biblical text for today’s Sermon is John 20:19-31 (NKJV) – we pray you feel the breath of Christ upon you as you listen to our Sabbath Service ❤️

‘“The Lord bless you and keep you; The Lord make His face shine upon you, And be gracious to you; The Lord lift up His countenance upon you, And give you peace.” ‘ (Numbers 6:24-26) God Bless you and Keep you in this week ahead 🙏

Our Summer Tea!

This Wednesday we held our celebrated and long-awaited Summer Tea at Castle Street Church Tredegar and it was fantastic!

Starting at 4pm, friends and family of Castle Street Church, Bethel Baptist Church & The ‘ Bethel Knits’ gathered to enjoy a time of community, togetherness, Worship and Teaching with The Word brought to us by Alun Johnson, Co-Pastor of Hope Church at Bethel & Calvary.

It was great to be visited by our Former Pastor Steve and his Wife Yvonne on the day and to share some time together with them – we loved having with you with us! Thanks to our Brilliant Volunteers (including our God-given-in-the-moment Handyman, Lee who fixed the Kitchen Door and helped us to avoid a last-minute potential Hosting disaster!), we all enjoyed a delicious Tea full of every delicious Summer treat possible!

If you missed it this time, you won’t have long to wait until our next Tea which will be on Wednesday 23rd October 2024 when we’ll be celebrating Harvest! If you’d like to join us, let us know and we’ll be sure to save you a seat! No charge, all we ask for is your presence ❤️

Praying you are enjoying Summer, wherever you are or whatever the weather is doing – it’s always Bright in God’s Kingdom, with Jesus Christ as our Light 🐑

‘The city had no need of the sun or of the moon to shine in it, for the glory of God illuminated it. The Lamb is its light.’
